Welcome to CommsBuddy, an AI-powered chatbot developed by Halo Media Group Ltd (“Halo Media”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or using this website and interacting with CommsBuddy, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not accept these Terms, you must not use the service.

CommsBuddy is designed as an AI assistant for communications professionals, providing general information, creative ideas, and guidance based on aggregated public knowledge.
CommsBuddy does not provide professional, legal, HR, compliance, or expert advice. All responses are generated by artificial intelligence and should be independently reviewed before use.
AI-generated content may not reflect human or company opinions and is for informational and educational purposes only.
You are solely responsible for any act or omission based on CommsBuddy’s output.

2. Use at Your Own Risk
You use CommsBuddy entirely at your own risk.
Halo Media does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any output and disclaims all liability for errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Halo Media’s total aggregate liability to any user (whether in contract, tort including negligence, or otherwise) shall not exceed £100. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited under law.

4. User Responsibilities
By using CommsBuddy, you agree to:
- Will not upload, input, or share confidential, proprietary, sensitive, government, or personal data;
- Accept sole responsibility to fact-check and verify all outputs prior to use or distribution;
- Will not use CommsBuddy for any unlawful, harmful, misleading, or disruptive purposes;
- May have your interactions anonymised and used for service improvement in accordance with our Privacy Policy;
- May not copy, modify, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or use the service to build competing products or models;
- Will comply with all applicable laws and respect the rights of others at all times.

5. Data Privacy and Third-Party Services
We value data privacy. CommsBuddy does not collect or store personal data beyond anonymised usage analytics. Any personal data collected for newsletter subscriptions is managed through Brevo and covered by separate privacy terms.
We use third-party service providers (including hosting, AI infrastructure, and cloud storage) who maintain their own security and privacy standards. By using CommsBuddy, you consent to relevant data processing under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and acknowledge third-party providers may process data on our behalf in accordance with their terms and all applicable laws.

6. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in CommsBuddy (including software, design, training data, and AI models) remain with Halo Media.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use CommsBuddy solely for lawful personal or business purposes. You may not use the service beyond this licence, nor reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works except as permitted by law.
AI-generated content may sometimes resemble or reference copyrighted material. We strive to use public sources, but you alone are responsible for ensuring any output does not infringe third-party rights.

7. Termination
Halo Media reserves the right, at any time and in its sole discretion, to suspend, terminate, or restrict access to CommsBuddy for any reason, without liability or notice.
You may also cease use at any time.
Upon termination, all rights and licences granted to you shall cease, you must stop all use of CommsBuddy, and any provisions of these Terms intended to survive termination (including liability limitations and intellectual property protections) will continue to apply.

We may update these Terms at any time. The most current version will always be posted on this page. Continued use of CommsBuddy after any changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Severability and Entire Agreement
